A geo-fence is a virtual perimeter for a real-world geographic area. A geo-fence could be dynamically generated—as in a radius around a store or point location, predefining a set of boundaries like school attendance zones or neighbourhood boundaries.

Geo-fencing allows users to set up triggers so that when a device enters (or exits) the geo-fence boundaries defined by the user an  alert is sent.

Amber Connect  is available for download on:  iPhone (iOS 7 or newer) and Android (Jelly Bean or newer). Web portal available for desktop and mobile browsers.

Amber Connect app is not available for Windows and Blackberry phones.  The app is only available for Android and iOS devices. An option for Windows and Blackberry users would be to use the web portal access.

You can purchase Amber Connect devices online at our online store.

Yes, you will receive automatic software updates and other important notifications.

There is currently no limit on the number of devices you can add to your account.

You may download the Amber app from the Apple App Store for Apple products on the iOS platform, or through Google Play for Android-based phones.

We have a one year Manufacturer’s Warranty. If your device stops functioning through no fault of your own within one year of purchase and Tech Support has determined it’s faulty, we’ll happily exchange it for you.

We strongly recommend against that, as we will not be liable for any damage caused. We recommend that the installation be done by a qualified electrician.

Push notifications will be sent to your phone, once you are signed into the app. Additionally, there are some notifications that will also be sent to the email account used in your profile setup.

By selecting SOS/Vehicle Recovery on the home page of the Amber app, notifications will be sent to the number listed in the app as ‘Vehicle Recovery’, indicating your current (device) location.

By selecting the SOS button on the home page of the Amber app, notifications will be sent to all persons listed in the app as your emergency contacts, indicating your current (device) location.

While in the app, go to Settings –> Profile –> Change Password.

When logging on to the app, select ‘Forgot your password’ below the login button.  This will facilitate a temporary password which will be sent to your email account.
